I've loved this conversation! Thinking in terms of five years ahead makes so much sense. I have a shiny new vision for my work on this kind of timescale. I want to get better at my craft and make fewer but more beautiful books, more as a craftsperson/artist than as a stationer. Alongside that, feedback from my audience is leading me in a possible new direction, teaching about personal aesthetics and visual storytelling, which feels exciting though I'm not sure I can make it work (#impostersyndrome). So my steps for this year are to start my traditional training in bookbinding, and to figure out how to develop this new idea (not sure where to start yet!).

Loved every word of this conversation and looking forward to more letters through 2024. Iโ€™ve opted out of big goals for now but I can feel the year (and years) ahead filled with possibilities and fun and creativity for the sake of creativity and joy itself. ๐Ÿ’›
